    Soooo because some divorces can be a wee bit nasty and extremely challenging for parents to get along. There are tools that can make interaction/communication more tolerable with coordinating schedules, sharing receipts etc...

    CUSTODY X EXCHANGE is an online platform in which you can create your own parenting plan or custody agreement for how your child(ren) will be cared for. They offer a step-by-step guide and also offers a communication feature.

    • They do have an app however per their website “Yes, we have apps for Windows, iOS and Android, but they're not in the app stores. App stores charge a 30% fee on every purchase. To avoid passing that extra cost on to you, we're using a method that installs directly from the browser.

  • DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

    DIY is not just for home improvement but meaning “do it yourself” without a lawyer.

  • You can check via the listed resources here to see if you are eligible through your state to file yourself (called pro-se). If you file yourself keep in mind you will have to pay court filing fees which vary by state as low as $80 - $450.

    Mediation

    If you’re like ok I don’t want a DIY divorce but not a lawyer either. You can get a mediator.

    A mediator is a neutral figure and professional who is like the “middle man or woman.”

    Mediation is supposed to be “cheaper” than going to court.
